極小 Minuscule

旧線路の茂みで大きなさえずりが聞こえてきた。短い尾を立てて歌っていたのはミソサザイである。その声からは想像出来ない小さな鳥だ。
枯木にとまっていたから見えたが、若葉に隠れてしまう程のチビなのである。

Un fort chant résonnait depuis les branches bordant l'ancien chemin de fer.
C'était le troglodyte qui chantait avec sa courte queue dressée.
D'après sa voix, on a dû mal à imaginer un oiseau de si petite taille.
J'ai pu le voir puisqu'il était sur un arbre mort.
Dans les feuilles naissantes, ce passereau passrerait facilement inaperçu.

A loud song yelled out from the branches along the old railway track.
It was a wren singing with his cocked tail.
After hearing that voice one wouldn't imagine that it belonged to a bird of such small size.
I was able to see it because it was in a dead tree.
Amongst the growing leaves one could easily miss this little passerine.
